China Sanctions Cosmetic Use of Skin From Aborted Babies and Executed Criminals?

Can this really be true? Blue State Conservatives' USMC_Vet picks up on a Guardian report in the UK on a Chinese cosmetics firm being allowed by the state to harvest the skin of people who have been executed and from aborted babies.

"A Chinese cosmetics company is using skin harvested from the corpses of executed convicts to develop beauty products for sale in Europe, an investigation by the Guardian has discovered.
"Agents for the firm have told would-be customers it is developing collagen for lip and wrinkle treatments from skin taken from prisoners after they have been shot.
"The agents say some of the company's products have been exported to the UK, and that the use of skin from condemned convicts is "traditional" and nothing to 'make such a big fuss about.'"

USMC_Vet gets to the fundamental point - the Chinese Communist Party remains the central authority in that nation and it is a moral adversary of civilization.

The Guardian has done a superb piece of reporting and the American MSM will have to follow the story because it was broken by the Brit publication, not an opposition media in China or in the conservative media here in the states.

It will also be interesting to see how the Left side of the Blogosphere reacts, particularly considering how close this latest revelation comes on the heels of disclosure that Yahoo.com provided information used by Chinese authorities to identify dissidents.
