KATRINA: Here's the Response Timeline, Based on The New OrleansTimes-Picayune Reporting

Right Wing Nut House has compiled a comprehensive timeline for Hurricane Katrina, based on reporting by The New Orleans Times-Picauyne. The timelines begins with a Friday, Aug. 26 entry indicating activation by the Army Corps of Engineers of teams to prepare for possible disaster response.

There is an incredible amount volume of ill-informed commentary in the MSM and among politicians in both parties claiming some variation on the theme that the federal government responded too slowly to Katrina. There is truth to that assertion but not of the sort being claimed by most of the view's adherents. This timeline ought to be the foundation for all future discussion.

Go here for the full timeline and tell your friends about it.
