Blogosphere is "Mythbusters" for Government

Lorie Byrd at Polipundit has a superb suggestion - the Blogosphere can be to the government and politics what the television program "Mythbusters" is to urban legends. I say right on, Lorie, that is exactly what the Blogosphere can and should do.

Individual bloggers perform the mythbusting function now, but how do we elevate the Blogosphere's capability to focus the wisdom of crowds on things like government programs that go on and on despite never even remotely coming close to solving the problems they were created to fix?

The Porkbusters campaign is one application of the Blogosphere's power to government in a very specific issue area - waste and fraud in federal spending - but that's just the hugely important first step.

How do we take the next step? What is the next step? Talk to me, bloggers!
