U.N. Bureaugoon Tries to Confiscate National Center for Public Policy Literature on Global Warming

There is a UN conference on global warming being held as this is written in Montreal and featuring speakers and experts from around the globe. Lots of folks from the U.N.'s growing community of Non-Government Organizations are attending, participating and evaluating.

Among the NGOs is the National Center for Public Policy Research, a conservative outfit that publishes, among much else, studies and other research materials that question much of the official U.N. orthodoxy about global warming.

Being an NGO means the National Center has as much right to distribute its materials as any other NGO participating in the Montreal conference, except in the mind of Barbara Black, U.N. Liaison Officer for Non-Governmental Organizations. Black and a security guard temporary seized National Center literature and accused the group of "disruption."

Amy Ridenour has the rest of the story here. Also, don't miss this account of a National Center analyst's encounter with an AFP reporter.
