There ARE Holes in the Hinrichs Tree

Acorns from an Okie took some photos of the tree near the bench where Joel Henry Hinrichs blew himself up Oct. 1, but disputes Tapscott's Copy Desk's report that there are numerous holes visible in the tree's bark that look like they were made by either ball bearings or nails.

After reading Acorns' post, closely examining the photos of the tree on his site and talking with my researchers in Norman, I stand by my previous post. There are indeed numerous holes in the tree, just as Tapscott's Copy Desk described them, and they are clearly visible in the top photo on Acorns' site.
